Topic 83 Time or Money? 18 October 2019
1. What do you value most - time or money? Why?
2. "It is always later than you think". What do you believe this idiom
means?
3. If you could retire tomorrow, how would you spend the rest of your
life? Be realistic. No one will give you a job after 50. "The rest of
your life" might be two or three times the number of years you have
lived so far. Life expectancy will be 90 to 100 years by the time you
die. If you are smart with your body you won't be in a wheelchair. At 74
Thor, your organizer, runs 5 to 7 kilometres most days and has a VO2 Max
(heart capacity) of 45, equivalent to an average 20 year old. You can do
that.
4. What are three things which waste your time often?
5. How much money do you need to be rich? How did you calculate that?
6. What can wealth buy you?
7. What can't wealth buy you?
8. Do you think you organize your time efficiently? If so, how do you
manage that? If not, how can you change?
9. One way to keep friends (or a husband or a wife) is to give them time
generously. What is the best way to manage this?
10. When you look back at the end of your life, what will "a well spent
life" look like?

TIME
“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”
― Omar Khayyám (1048-1131 A.D. Iran)
