California: Engineer Is Sentenced for Espionage


A former engineer for Rockwell International and Boeing who was convicted of passing space shuttle secrets to China was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison. The engineer, Dongfan Chung, was found guilty of economic espionage in July in Santa Ana. Mr. Chung, a naturalized United States citizen who was born in China, was the first defendant convicted at trial since the Economic Espionage Act became law in 1996.
